I’ve been driving the Vette pretty much all day today to get back home to Indiana . Gonna sleep at a friend’s place in Ohio tonight.

Random thoughts:

This is so so fast! 400bhp doesn’t sound like much but the motor starts pulling from 3k rpm all the way to 6.5k. Maybe I’m just too used to the Mini but I have sat in fast stuff (300whp elise, 600bhp stag etc etc). Definitely worth the money :)

The gearbox action is nice and heavy, you really have to be committed to the shift. 1st gear is just meant for burnouts!

Surprisingly the clutch is quite light, lighter than the Mini.

It likes to burn its tires in 3rd in the dry :D (Nitto NT01, 200TW)

No joke, I drove my probably 400ish hp Z last weekend and was shocked at the power difference. It should be obvious, but I’ve found my foot buried in the loud pedal in the mini on more than one occasion without much worry of breaking the speed limit , in the Z I have to kind of look around, make sure the coast is clear and there is good run off before I apply anywhere close to full throttle.

So I guess NJ’s biggest export is C5Zs now. At this rate there will be no more left in NJ by the time I’m ready to buy another car.

Definitely! I can’t go full throttle in 2nd in the Z, it will just spin the wheels. In the Mini I can do whatever I want whenever I want.

I feel like an adult when driving the Z, gotta be more careful.

405hp, but 3100lbs. So it’s fairly light for a V8 powered car.
